Encounter Church Barossa is a warm, multi-generational Christian church serving Nuriootpa, Tanunda and the wider Barossa community. We believe people of every generation can encounter the transforming life, love and hope of Jesus.
Whether you have been part of church for years, are returning after some time away or have never attended before, you are welcome to join us this Sunday.
Our Sunday services include worship, practical Bible teaching and opportunities to connect with others from across the Barossa.

What to Expect
You do not need to know what to do or have everything figured out before coming to Encounter.
Our services are relaxed and welcoming, with worship, an encouraging message and space to meet others. You are welcome to participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
Come as you are. Our team will be ready to welcome you and help you find your way when you arrive.
Bringing Children?
Encounter eKids is available during the Sunday service for walking-aged children through to primary school students.
The program provides a safe and engaging environment where children can learn about Jesus, build friendships and have fun. Our team can help your family with check-in when you arrive.
Parking and Access
On-site parking is available at the Nuriootpa Netball Club.
The venue has a wheelchair-accessible entrance and is equipped with an accessible toilet. Our team will be available to help you find your way when you arrive.

Campus Pastors
Pastor Alisa and Peter Bryan
Pastors Alisa and Peter Bryan are the passionate and dedicated Launch and Location Pastors of our Barossa location. With a genuine love for people and a heart to see lives transformed, Alisa brings both her leadership and compassion as a cardiac nurse into every aspect of ministry. Peter, with a background in management, carries a strong sense of vision and a deep love for worship—paired with a great sense of humour that brings joy wherever he goes. Together, they are a dynamic team, raising their three beautiful daughters and stepping boldly into all that God has called them to in the Barossa. With faith, drive, and warmth, Alisa and Peter are excited to lead a thriving church community where people can encounter the life-changing hope and love of Jesus.
